Our company’s Foundation has successfully held the third Summit of Iberian Healthcare Leaders in partnership with the Regional Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands in Spain.
Held on February 28 and March 1 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, this conference addressed some of the most topical inter-regional projects in Spain and Portugal. During the working sessions we employed two well-known methodologies: World Café and Open Space Technology, which allowed us to analyze and reach consensus on the best strategies towards the implementation of the European Directive on cross-border healthcare.
This third edition brought together experts and health professionals from around the world, as well as members of the ‘Iberian Healthcare Forum’.
One of the main conclusions that came from the event was the need to improve coordination of European cross border boundaries to improve healthcare services that reinforce aspects such as quality, sustainability and patient safety. Although the most significant finding was the desire to build a European Union with more coordination through collaborative work and exchange of experiences that are proving successful in this economical crisis.
