The Core

The core of our consulting practice is purely process consulting. In a nutshell “process consulting” is simply a clever way of organizing group activity that occurs in meetings, training rooms, classrooms or public conference events, to achieve effective collaboration.

Learning to work collectively was probably the most critical competitive advantage achieved by mankind. Collaborative work can occur in ad hoc spontaneous groups or in any organizational unit comprising more than one individual. In between these two scenarios a diverse range of collaborative work systems can be conceived. The industrial revolutions brought important scientific discoveries in applied psychology and group dynamics which are now thought worldwide. As a result, effective group work today takes advantage of such knowledge and comprises a number of varied activities designed by trained professionals.

In highly effective meetings, training sessions or in the 21st century classroom, work systems are properly managed by skilled facilitators or teachers. The information that is produced is never lost and the effectiveness of time spent by meeting participants or by students or trainees is always highly ranked. Collaborative work activities range from simple training exercises to more complex problem solving heuristics. In any case, group work effectiveness derives from the individual learning process that must co-exist within the group. This cooperative learning process is the single most critical factor for any group to become a successful team.

The uniqueness of our approach is to design a groupware-supported process that generates effective group learning. For any given group of individuals, we create a working environment with an associated methodology that fosters true cooperative learning and builds effective team work.
