Action-learning workshops

groupVision designs and creates programs to improve team work and to define rules and procedures to harmonise both the curriculum of each department and level of teaching. In the end of the workshop, there is a summary meeting with the different teams to collaborate each team’s suggestions with the global objectives of the institution. The responsibility of each teacher to the success of the organisation, as well as the expected performance objectives, becomes clear in these workshops. Our methodology is based in the applied use of Soft Systems ideas and groupware support with AnyZing software.

The concept of "adaptable workshop" results from the practical application of an action-learning methodology, where each step taken is determined by the experience of the previous workshop. This cycle of computer assisted conferences creates a “learning organisation”, in which the satisfaction of teachers and students individual needs and the development of new skills become the key elements of your institution excellence. 

The Valencian Region in Spain has recently proposed a XXI century classroom model that is considered to be one of the most advanced in the country.

groupVision, in close collaboration with Red.es, is proud to have been selected to take part in this program, and we have equipped all the schools in the region with SMART Board interactive whiteboard, running a linux-based version of Notebook, in Lliurex, the OS specifically designed for education by the ITC staff in the Regional Secretary of education.

SMART Technologies development team has made sure that its Linux version is totally compatible with Lliurex, so that teachers do not experience a loss of functionality when they migrate from other OS platforms, from other regions.

This very ambitious project in the Valencian Community, also includes the adoption of digital text books that will eventually replace all paperback school books. Obviously this poses a tremendous challenge to the editorial companies that need to adapt to this new delivery format or to perish.
