SYSTEMS & CONSULTING LEVEL
 Our Systems Practice
CONTENT BELLOW

Our consulting practice is based in Systems thinking that can be applied in any type of organisational context. Systems thinking offer powerful conceptual tools to approach complex problem situations. Our consulting services benefit from SSM [Soft Systems Methodology], crafted upon 30 years of action-research lead by Peter Checkland, a renowned author and researcher from UK top ranking Lancaster University Management School.

A Soft Systems approach helps managers get a clear understanding of the variables that need to be addressed in order to tackle complex problem situations where other types of approach have failed. Backed by computer supported conferences (e-meetings) you would then be able to generate and share all the needed group information for complex decision making, ranging from policy development to organisational design. Until today, GroupVision has successfully engaged and developed expertise in the following industries: Business Development & Consultancy, Corporate Training & Higher Education, Defence & Civil protection, Education, Healthcare, International Development & Funding Agencies, Municipalities & Regional Governments.

Based on Soft Systems thinking, we coach you on the best practices to organise different types of computer assisted conferences (e-meetings) that can be used in any type of business event or critical meeting. The possibilities are as varied and creative as the organisational contexts themselves. Group processes are designed to deal with complex subjects where large amounts of information must be processed, or where people from various backgrounds need to be successfully involved. Learn more about some examples of e-meetings applications.

Systems ideas can also be conveyed to practice within public initiatives that we organise and co-sponsor. GroupVision has extensive experience in organising public fora such as:

Aulas con Software
A yearly specialised forum that showcases education best practices and innovative teaching with software support in the Iberian Peninsula, that runs consecutively since 2004.

Fórum Hospital do Futuro
A specialised forum that supports strategic thinking and innovative practices in the health care sector in Portugal, since 2003.

If you want more information about these public initiatives and our e-meeting support methodology check out meeting initiatives section in this web site.
